The 2021 Honda Ridgeline is the Truck of the Summer
Who Doesn’t Love Summertime?
Back to the great outdoors. Summer is upon us, as is the grand smell of opportunity. After all the hardships of 2019-2020 we faced, there has never been a better time to enjoy life than right now. It’s time for that vacation you’ve been saving up for, or the family camping trip you’ve been waiting on. The term “return to normalcy” has been used in many headlines, but it’s time to take it further than normal and exceed average. Presenting to you a medium of transportation that can satisfy all these needs and more: the 2021 Honda Ridgeline.
Upgrade your picnics, road trips and off-road adventuring in a way previously thought impossible with other vehicles. Not only do you have top of the line towing capacity in the midsize truck class, you’ll also be getting fuel efficiency few other trucks can match, and a driving experience they just can’t. If you are looking for the truck of the summer, this is it.
Believe the hype…
The 2021 Honda Ridgeline is not only rated at a consumer verified 81/100 by J.D. Power, it also garners the #2 ranking on J.D. Power’s Top 10 List of Consumer Rated Trucks. Pretty impressive for a truck that also received a 5-star Overall Safety Rating from the NHTSA, as well as being anointed The Car Connection’s Best Pickup Truck to Buy 2021. It also was U.S. News Best Compact Pickup Truck for 2021, but this writer’s fingers were beginning to tire from writing all these acknowledgements and awards.
While those awards and rankings may speak for themselves, the roaring motor of the Honda Ridgeline does most of the talking on its own. This zippy midsized truck features a 3.5-liter V-6 with 280 horsepower and an impressive 262 pound-feet of torque. You’ll be hard pressed to find a smoother driving 9-speed automatic transmission daily driver when sorting through the rest of the vehicles in its class; and with an EPA-rated 19 mpg city/ 26 mpg highway/ 22 mpg combined, it’s likely you will find yourself passing said vehicles refilling at the gas station en route to your destination.
No Empty Promises
On the interior of the Ridgeline, drivers are treated to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standardly equipped on an 8-inch touchscreen. Honda’s top-of-the-line safety technology features as well as keyless start and LED illuminated headlights. If you opt for a higher trim level than the base model, blind-spot monitors, a premium audio system, leather upholstery, a power sunroof, and truck bed speakers are additional features you can receive.
Something else you may not have known is the insanely cool built-in storage trunk that is accessible within the bed near the tailgate. Not only do you get the expansive 5 ft x 4.17 ft truck bed itself in the Ridgeline, but also 7.3 cubic feet of extra cargo space. The storage trunk is water proof to the point cleaning can be as easy as hosing it out. This little hidden gem is what could really kickstart your summer parties, as it is water tight and therefore rip-roaring and ready to be packed with ice and tasty summer beverages of your discretion. Everything You Want in a Truck, Including the Price Tag
Going over the seemingly endless amount of features the Ridgeline offers, it would certainly give off the impression this is either an unattainable or unaffordable midsize truck. This, however, is where the Ridgeline truly shines.
“Bang for your buck?” That’s this truck. The 2021 Honda Ridgeline’s price tag starts at $36,490 although this number can vary dependent on what trim level you select. With all these great features for a reasonable price, it becomes very hard to disagree against the Ridgeline being one of the best compact pickup truck values you can get.
Hot Ridgeline Summer
The 2021 Honda Ridgeline stands out from the competition. It separates itself from others with its exclusive features, a sleek, sporty look unique to itself, and unparalleled Honda performance under the hood.
Imagine the backroads with wind coming in right through the driver side window. The truck bed is lined with a camping tent that is held down by the weight of an iced down cooler. In your passenger seats sits your dog and best friend, eager to get to the destination but absolutely loving the journey there. The trip there has been a long one but you’ve enjoyed every second of it in your Honda Ridgeline. Summer is here and we owe it to ourselves to make it the best one possible. Make it possible in the 2021 Honda Ridgeline.
